At Liberty University's graduation ceremony this weekend, Newt Gingrich, probably in his endeavor to capture the hearts and minds of the Christian right, decried a "radical secularism" that has a vice grip on America today. This got me to thinking about Turkey, which has been more tense lately between those that desire a Muslim state and those that are
defiantly secular. My guess is that Gingrich would be opposed to a
religious state if that religion happened to be Muslim.
