Ron Paul managed to raise more than $4 million yesterday through his Guy Fawkes website. Really, Guy Fawkes? Ron Paul is associating himself with a historical figure who spearheaded a plot to blow up the houses of Parliament -- by very definition, a terrorist. True, England was persecuting Catholics and Fawkes role was to fight back against a religiously intolerant government, but he was still a terrorist by definition. It seems a strange stance for an antiwar candidate.

The campaign has nothing to do with the activity of it's supporters. This is well documented.
Ron Paul is going to win. www.ronpaul2008.com
You just don't get it. The MSM doesn't get it. The Nov 5th fund raising had nothing to do with Guy Fawkes and everything to do about the message of the US Constitution. We Ron Paul supporters are tired of the government which has hijacked this country. Rep. Ron Paul is our spokesman. Its the message of freedom and liberty, and America is a long way down the road from that today.

A terrorist, by definition, is someone who targets civilians. Targeting members of government is something else.
Sort of elementary, really.
Would you also declare the burning of Washington D.C. terrorism?
How about the siege of Stalingrad? Or the firebombing of Dresden? Or the nuclear bombs dropped on Hiroshima or Nagasaki?
These are acts of war. Acts of terrorism are those that randomly target civilians to keep them in a perpetual state of fear and uncertainty.
Let's not redefine the word terrorism so much that it carries no meaning anymore.
Psst... you DO know Guy Fawkes Day celebrates the fact that Fawkes FAILED right?
I just want to reiterate what liberate posted. Ron Paul is not associating with Guy Fawkes. He does not have a "stand" on what Guy Fawkes did or Guy Fawkes Day. The November 5th fund raiser was a completely volunteer idea and effort. Don't read too much into the symbolism. This was just one Ron Paul supporter's idea to raise some cash for the doctor, and it worked!
So I guess you'd regard it as an act of terrorism if a German Jew had attempted to blow up the Reichstag at a time when it was being addressed by the Fuehrer.
