Via Ann at Feministing. Recent reports reveal that two young female radio journalists, aged 20 and 24, were
killed in Oaxaca, Mexico recently. It's startling to hear that journalists that are so young were shot to death, but Mexico is one of the most dangerous countries in which to attempt reporting,
according to the Committee to Protect Journalists. More journalists were killed last year in Mexico than in Afghanistan. In fact, as this excellent Washington Post foreign service story from last year
shows, the press in Mexico is nowhere near free.
