The AP
reports today that Barack Obama is willing to reverse a decades-old policy on Cuban travel for vacationers. The general consensus that the American anti-Cuban policy doesn't work is right. It was intended as means of making Fidel Castro unpopular, which as we've seen, doesn't really work. Especially in a post-Cold War world, taking such a strong stance against socialist Cuba doesn't really make sense. We trade with far worse dictators and are friendly with many social democracies in Europe.
