McCain's Denver Speech
Matt says he thinks that McCain's non-proliferation speech was reasonable, and says it sounds like McCain may have changed his mind about the whole League of Democracies thing. But, as Joe Cirincione (via KVH) points out, "He still defines the problem, however, through the Bush Doctrine prism. He leads with the threat from so-called rogue states. In this summer of sequels, McCain gives us "Axis of Evil II," with Syria filling the role formerly played by Iraq." We don't want to be continuing to view our foreign policy through the Bush administration's lens, and that's definitely one sequel I hope never gets made.
